You'll find that this recipe is very good and quite tasty. Once you have tried our Crawfish Stew, you'll want to put this recipe on your list of meals to prepare on a regular basis.
"Crawfish Stew"
Qty Size Ingredients Notation
1 lb.  Crawfish Tail Meat & Fat  
1 medium  Onion  Diced
1 small  Green Bell Pepper  Diced
1 bunch  Green Onions (Tops Only)  Chopped
1/2 cup  Parsley  Finely Chopped
1/2 tsp.  Salt  
1 tsp.  Cajun Seasoning  To Taste
     Cooked Rice  
"Roux"
Qty Size Ingredients Notation
1/4 cup  Canola or Vegetable Oil  
3 Tbsp.  Flour  
"How to Prepare Crawfish Stew"
  • Mix flour and oil together in a 5 qt. pot and make a dark-brown roux.

  • Add diced onions to roux and continue to stir until onions are translucent.

  • Add 1 cup of water to roux and mix thoroughly.

  • Continue to add water (a little at a time) until the desired consistency is achieved.

  • Reduce heat to medium-low and add bell pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Add salt, Cajun seasoning, green onions and parsley. Mix and cook for 15 minutes.

  • Add crawfish and cook for no longer than 15 minutes.

    Note: If the Crawfish Stew is too thick, simply add a little water to achieve the desired consistency.

  • Add Cajun seasoning to taste, if needed.

  • Serve the Crawfish Stew over cooked rice. Serves 6.
